This is the Story of the Match Girls 3 week strike in 1888. They all worked at Home, 16 to 20hrs a day for Bryant & May. ( Still going today ) They nearly all got "flossie mouth" disease from the chemicals they used. A Trade Union organised them in to a 3week strike. Bryant & May Capitulated, and changed the conditions that the Girls Worked Under and gave them Medical Treatment.
