This Giant Alien Bird is Hovering over the Streets of Manchester to the Rhythms of the North Eastern Brazil and Dancers.

The Magical, Mythical Phoenix symbolises the Regeneration of Manchester.

This is a Bird Making Machine, and the Brownies and Girl Guides following are dressed as a Flock of Birds. They are Celebrating their Centenary Year.

The Peacock

The Peacock is the National Bird of India. It's accompanied by Dancers and a Band. Their is a large Community of Indians in Manchester.

Flower Garden Dancers

The Children are all Dressed as Flowers and Dancing to the Explosive Baja Band.

Now that the Speeding Wheel Chair is on the Move the Monster from Outer Space is hanging on for Dear Life hoping not to be Thrown Off. LOL

Maybe this Whale has swam up the Manchester Canal to join the Festival accompanied by his Fishy Followers with Exotic Fishes on their heads?

Another name for Manchester is the Rainy City. These revellers are displaying Umbrella's with Rain Drops and they are on Roller Skates Representing 50 Areas around the City.

The Spirit of Ecstasy after the Rolls Royce Mascot represents "The Spirit of Manchester".
Incidentally Mr Charles Rolls and Mr Henry Royce first met in Manchester in 1905 The Rolls Royce Ltd was formed in 1906 and their first cars started to be built in Manchester.

The Manchester Evening News is still here after 142 years. That has to be a Great Record in this Day and Age. The News has served Manchester Well.

National Bike Week.

Bicycles have always been popular in Manchester. This one is Decorated in the Weather Mode with Clouds, Sun and Rain. All good for growing the Plants in the Gardens and Allotments of the City.

This Alien has been Captured and has been put in Cage (For it's own safety) because it has to pass by a few Burger Bars on it's way round the streets of Manchester. LOL.

Pegasus?

The Winged Horse Pegasus gets his final grooming before he joins the Parade. His Wings Flap as he goes along. As a former paratrooper "Pegasus" has a Special Meaning. The Badge is used by the British Airborne Forces.

From Outer Space ?

The Theme for the Festival is "Its out of this World." The Space Man is getting his finishing touches.

The Witch is being got ready for the Big Parade around Manchester. Its going to be led by The Lord Mayor.
