The Peacock is the National Bird of India. It's accompanied by Dancers and a Band. Their is a large Community of Indians in Manchester.

Incidentally Mr Charles Rolls and Mr Henry Royce first met in Manchester in 1905 The Rolls Royce Ltd was formed in 1906 and their first cars started to be built in Manchester.

The Winged Horse Pegasus gets his final grooming before he joins the Parade. His Wings Flap as he goes along. As a former paratrooper "Pegasus" has a Special Meaning. The Badge is used by the British Airborne Forces.
